The Peace Before the Mess.. WE DO LIVE HERE!

The Peace Before the Mess.. WE DO LIVE HERE!

Ever had those moments where even though you know as soon as it is tidy and clean, it will become one big mess again. Raising 5 kids my littlest being 1 and 2 right now. I have learned to really appreciate the 20 minutes of peace I get after cleaning my home. But we live here so there is a peanut butter mess probably somewhere that I missed.. Dirty or clean clothes somewhere in the house. If you have toys.... well they are never not out. It is really easy as moms to see a nicely organized, beautiful home and then feel constant stress that were just not doing it right. You are in case you're wondering, it just feels that daunting sometimes. Instead of focusing on what you're not doing right embrace the mess for what it is.. a Mess! Then remember you live here. After doing that then you can clean... ON YOUR OWN TIMEFRAME, not everyone else's timeframe. Feeling like you're not doing it enough or right away can also make you feel a lot of anxiousness about not doing it right. I had a comment one time from someone I love dearly tell me you just have to pick up after yourself. It made me laugh.. here I have these two littles whose only job on this earth right now is to find everything they can and figure out what it does; they make a mess!! Even if it was just one I could never sit down, if I was in a constant clean up mode, then you know what happens... I'm loosing moments with my kids, I'm losing the moments to rest, the moments to take care of myself, the moments to be on time to work. Guess what these moments are the most peaceful moments that actually matter. It is a mess but we will get to it..eventually! All this being said there are so many amazing ideals on how to create a space for your family that makes it easier to clean! This is where organization, and some fun style, can come in handy! What's worked the best for our home is less is best! But you will always know what's best for you and your family!

This is Inspiration...not reality!
